We’re mixing it up this month with something for everyone! Bright colors and a variety of patterns are the Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope paper pad. In a larger-than-usual 6” x 8” format, it’s a very versatile collection of gorgeous papers! We’re making another adorable fox – but this time, he’s a snazzy little leprechaun! We also have a llama (because, uh, llama!!!!), and a fabulous piñata card! There are also cards that will be great for the guys in our lives.

In addition to your regular kit, you will need a white uniball Signo pen and a black Micron 05 or Copic Multi Liner. Bring your favorite makers. The samples were done with Copics 100, E55, E57, R37, and YG09 (black, medium brown, pale brown, red, and bright green). You will also need a clear sparkle or glitter pen. There are a lot of smaller pieces this month, so bring a fine- tip wet glue. Your regular kit should include foam tape, dry adhesive such as a tape runner, a wet glue with a fine point, pop dots, glue dots, bone folder, scissors, tweezers etc along with your paper trimmer. Remember that Susan is always happy to help you with any cutting!

The cost of this class is $28. There are only a few spots left, so if you are interested let us know right away.

If you’re already a member of the 6-Pack Club, we will expect you at your usual time. If you need to switch to another time, please let us know as soon as possible. If you’re not a member but would like to sign up for one of the class sessions, you can sign up in person or over the phone like you would for any other class. Prepayment is required for non-members of the 6-Pack Club. Those who are members can pay the night of the class.

Native to Mexico, the bright and colorful Cosmos is often referred to as the love flower. The no-fuss outline of the petals makes this stamp image ideal for "clean and simple" cards that are cheerful and trendy. We will be using alcohol markers to create a "bokeh-like" effect (slightly blurred contrasting dots of color) on the petals. Since these flowers typically come in just about every color of the rainbow, you have lots of choices of how to color them. My color choices for the flowers are whimsical. I love how the complimentary-colored accents in the cards pair up to create lively, fun cards that are suitable for so many occasions.

You will need to bring your basic tool kit as usual plus the following: NUVO alcohol markers from the sets of Irish Clover, Aquamarines, Marina Blues, and Palma Violets; clear alcohol blender pen; thin foam tape (I recommend the Scotch roll or the thin foam squares but not the 3-D thicker ones); precision, detail scissors for fine fussy cuts; clear sparkle brush pen such as NUVO or Spectrum Noir and tweezers if desired. (Note: the stamp set is included in your class fee as it is every month but don't forget to mention that you also want to purchase the coordinating die so we can reserve one for you at the 20% discount)

Please register and pre-pay to reserve your spot as the classes fill quickly and quantities of stamps/dies on hand may be limited. Hope to see you there!

Interactive Birthday (or Valentine) Cards with Gloria

When:  Thursday, February 7:  1:00 - 4:00 p.m.; OR

          Saturday, February 9:  1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Cost:  $30.00

I have always loved cards that have bells and whistles! Anyone who would send me such a card must think me to be a very special person. In this class you will be making three different interactive cards using Lawn Fawn dies, Shadow Box, Pivot Pop-Up and Double Slider Surprise. Even though I have used all three dies in classes I have taught this fall and winter, it is good to use them again to review the steps to making these cards.

To make these 3 cards even more special and cute we are using Sunny Studio’s ”Love Monkey” clear stamp set. The stamp set is basically a birthday celebration set. However, the set can also be used to make awesome Valentines. In this class you will have the option of making either birthday or Valentine cards, AND each of you will receive the $15 stamp set to use in class and take home. The stamp set has 16 individual stamps and 4 lines of words and sayings AND the set has little monkeys that are really cute, cute, cute! If you wish to buy the accompanying dies for the stamp set, they will be offered at a 20% discount when you sign up for the class through the class date. You will need to let the shop know when you sign up for the class if you also want the die set. You can pay for the die set at the time you pay for your class, or you can pay for the die set the day of your class.

Please bring a couple of acrylic blocks to use with your stamps and an alcohol friendly black ink pad, like Memento Tuxedo Black. Also needed are pencils or markers in 2 shades of brown, 1 shade of tan, 2 shades of green, 2 shades of pink and 1 shade of aqua and yellow and a fine line black pen. I used the following Nuvo alcohol markers: Browns #464, #504; Tan #477; Greens #410, #416; Pinks #449, #453; Aqua 363; and Yellow #405. You will also need to bring your basic kit of wet and dry adhesives, scissors, scor tape in 1/8” (must have this size for double slider card) and 1/4” sizes, and foam squares or tape.

Preregistration and prepayment are required two days in advance of the class date.

Make someone feel really special. Make them an interactive birthday card or Valentine.
