(NOTE: The Thurs. am session is full and the Saturday only has a couple of spaces left. Supplies are limited. If you cannot make it to class but would like a kit, please let us know.)
This month's flower isn't a flower at all, however, the large Holly leaves and berries are just right for the upcoming holiday season. You will be creating a soft plaid pattern background using a Tim Holtz stencil and Distress Inks on both cards. The first card has a rustic, "lodge" appeal to it and uses Desert Storm and Strathmore kraft-colored multi-media cardstock. The Holly/berries are colored with watercolor pencils. The second card has a country, farmhouse appeal to it that reminds me of a warm, cozy flannel blanket. The Holly leaves and berries will be stamped onto watercolor paper that has been colorized with Distress Inks. You will add additional shading as desired with Distress Inks used as a watercolor medium.
Please bring as many of the Distress Ink colors as you can to class (can be in the form of pads, markers or even re-inkers) so that the class will move along more smoothly and you won't have to wait so long for a turn to use the limited supplies. Please bring several finger daubers to apply the shading.
Original Distress Ink Pads used in class:
Pine Needles, Festive Berries, Candied Apple, Aged Mahogany, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Ground Espresso, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Scattered Straw
